That looks like a lot of blinding white in my viewing environment.

I agree. I actually don't like it much. White is kind of the 'apple' way to do things, which was why I was exploring that. But I prefer dark.

I'm really just cleaning up the code to get a good stable browser. I'm better at this Engineering thing than I was 5 years ago

My ultimate goal is to have an experience similar to what a lot of the Android TV apps have adapted.

btl.

Glad to hear that! Include me in the group who prefer darker UIs. We mostly watch TV and movies in semi or complete darkness, so a bright UI is going to really mess with our eyes. That was one of the reasons I never tried out the original Phoenix (or was it v2?).

MS has followed. Office 360 is an ocean of bright white. What better way to spend a workday than staring at the monitor backlight all day long...

This looks great though. I can't wait to try it out.

Got some time to play / work on P3 yesterday.

I'm not gonna lie, this is a little influenced by the HBO Go app...

I like the overall style, are lists going to be an option, rather than tiles?

I'm still plugging away at the P3 overhaul effort. The original Phoenix and Phoenix 2 effort went a lot quicker.

Seems like I have more kids now than I did back then.

Pro list for TV for sure.

What happens when you select the show you want to watch? Love to see that screen.

I like the banners in the list, but I've been using TV Explorer for so long I'm used to it.

I've always found cover art to be difficult to scroll through. I think it's either too many items overall or art that's too small to discern what something is. Multiple rows seem like too much for the eyes to get through quickly in my mind and difficult to navigate quickly with a remote. Mentally, I'd think I'm playing Nintendo: "Ok, Star Trek is PgR, PgR, PgR, PgR, D, D, R, R, R." That's probably why I seem to like lists. Care to post a shot of your current screen setup? I'm really curious.
