HD300 and HD200 Cannot Connect

Free Case Of Beer to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

My HD300 and HD200 Both stopped connecting to my Sage Server at the same time two weeks ago.

Both have the same symptom. I stop the auto connect on either HD box and see if I can link to my Server's C drive. This is no problem for either HD200 or HD300. But both identify my Sage Server by Name and then I try to connect.
Both boxes say they are connecting and then the screen goes blank and Sage never comes up.

Power Cycle HD200 & HD300, Power Cycle Server PC power Cycle Netgear box. Still 100% Fail to Connect.

Verify Network Connection is good. Fire Tablet connects, Samsung Smart TV connects, Android Phone connects. And both HD200 and HD300 have valid IPs and can see the server.

There is no signature of the failure that I can see on the Sage Server to tell me if there is a problem. So I tried the following.

1. Save current Sage Directory on another Hard Drive.
2. Complete Removal of Sage Software from Server
3. Install Latest Version of Sage 9
After this was done I got the HD300 to connect a couple of times. But then
4. Updated HD300 Firmware
Now back to 100% no connection on HD300
5. So I cleared the Sage install again but still no connection

Next Steps
1. Provide Direct Ethernet Cable Connection to Router and then
2. Direct cable connect from HD300 to PC

Does anyone have any ideas on to root cause this problem?
Is there any way for me to see what the HD300 signature is when it fails to connect. Is it stuck in an infinite loop? Did it forget to turn on the HDMI output? Is there a failed to connect message on HD300?
Can I hook up a laptop to the HD300 and get more information from it while it is trying to connect?

First thing is to check the IP address and subnet of the HD200/300 and the SageTV server to make sure they are the same (or same subnet, same first three number groups in IP).

Just to confirm, are these HD200/300 extenders connecting through your own LAN, or coming in through the Internet?

From a thread elsewhere on the site that addressed HD300 not being able to connect:
Power the unit up without the Ethernet cable plugged in.
Wait for the SAGETV logo to flash up.
Plug the Ethernet cable in just after the SAGETV logo disappears.
The HD300 will then get an IP.

Not sure if this will work in your case, it seems somewhat different.

Did anyone get this issue resolved? I'm trying to set my system back up, I've been gone from SageTV for a few years and I can't get my HD 300 to connect to the server.

It finds the server, and tries to connect and then I get a blank screen.

Do you get the initial start screen, where it shows which server it wants to auto-connect to?

If so, cancel auto boot, select Settings and make sure the video output connector and the supported resolutions are set to values your TV supports.

I ran into this recently when I hooked up an HD300 to an old TV that only supported 720. The HD300 had previously been connected to a higher resolution TV, and it was still defaulting to the higher resolution after connecting to the server.

Your problem may be different than mine, but since it sounded similar I thought I'd mention it.
