I forgot that I wrote that...

I don't have any screen shots to share mostly because we are taking an approach very similar to building a house. We first drafted a plan and then spent a lot of time pushing dirt around. Once that was done we started framing and installing the electrical wiring and plumbing, etc. There is still some of that to be done and we are now probably at the stage of hanging the drywall. We don't plan to paint the walls and arrange the furniture until the house is finished, so for now screenshots would not be very useful. Don't worry too much. Progress has been slow over the holiday season, but we are still moving forward.

Aloha,
Mike

I don't think you said Christmas of what year anyway. Maybe we'll have screenshots for next Christmas.

Mike,
I'm getting pretty eager to see a new build and was wondering if you have anything to show us?

Thanks

There's nothing new for SageMC. I plan to make the current 6.3.9b pre-release 24 into the next official release at some point. This will in all likelihood be the last release for SageTV V6.

I'll look into making compatibility updates to try to make sure that SageMC works with SageTV V7 whenever a public beta gets released. I have no idea how much work will be involved at that point. For now we all just have to sit tight and wait.

We've been working really hard on project Phoenix and we're making good progress. But I think it will still be several months before we'll be ready to show anything.

Aloha,
Mike

What happend to SageMC?

Hello,

After 2 months I figured out how to enable SageMC on sagetv 7, my first impression was that it was awesome but needs some tweaks. Is this project dead for ever?

Yes it is dead but some of the SageMC dev folks, such as MeInMaui, are working on a new UI for V7 called Phoenix. There is another group working on another UI called Ortus. Check out the Sage7 Customizations forum. Unfortunately these new UIs are taking a little while to come to fruition but hopefully the wait will be worth it.

Just curious.... but did you install it using the SageMC Plugin that's listed under the UI Mods in the Plugin Manager? I had it installed on one of my clients (mvp) since it couldn't handle the new Sage7 ui very well... i recall it took about 4 minutes to install
