Using generic pipe with Channels DVR comskip problems

After ditching my Spectrum cable boxes and using their app, I decided to try the Sage Docker adding Spectrum TVE through Channels DVR as encoders. Following the instructions found on the forum for setting up generic pipe capture I'm able to add the pipes as encoders. Everything is fine except that comskip seems to be misbehaving, i.e., commercial detection is way off. Anyone have any suggestion on fine tuning comskip using this setup? Thanks.

Just double-checking, you are using the donator version of comskip.exe for the h.264 TVE files? If you weren't, I don't think it would be reporting any commercials. Additionally, I think the Channels DVR TVE feeds are being run through ffmpeg, maybe that has some impact on file quality. I now see this is the docker forum, maybe none of this applies.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using native comskip which was installed with the docker container. I was wondering if anyone else was successfully using native comskip in a docker, maybe by tweaking comskip.ini.. BTW, I'm using the Java 8 version of the docker.

Apparently there's a way to turn off Channel DVR's transcoding of the stream, thanks to nplayer's post. Now comskip is behaving.
