Placeshifter conflict with Win10 screensaver

I've just been trying Windows 10 - the HD300s are working fine and all seems ok with one exception. I keep Placeshifter open on my PC screen for editing of metadata etc. and the whole placeshifter window turns black when I click in it if the screensaver is set to come on.

It's taken me a few days to figure out that the screensaver was the problem and, now that I have, I don't know what to do about it. I've turned screensaver off and use power options to turn off the monitor after a few minutes but I do prefer the blank screensaver because certain notifications will show through it and that is very handy!

The odd thing is that I made a shortcut on my desktop to:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\scrnsave.scr
and I can activate that without having any problems in Placeshifter??

Well, I have found a workaround to the problem. I gave up on the Windows screensavers as nothing I did helped at all. I found a download called Before Dawn which installs and has its own screensavers - each has an html, js and json file.

It works great and placeshifter no longer turns black after the screensaver has been on. I chose the Starfield saver and did some editing of the js file and now it is a blank screen which is what I wanted.

I just am curious why the built in screensavers didn't play well with SageTV...
