64 bit, ready for primetime?

I see the 64bit version hasn't been updated for 8 months. Is it ready for primetime? I don't use the USBRT.

Thanks, Bill

I know people are using it and there haven’t been any bug reports for some time now. There was a recent patch for DirecTV serial control that isn’t in a release build yet but it affected 32 and 64 bit versions of 9.2.

If you’re concerned, you should be able to install side by side and revert back if needed.

Thanks! The installer asks a couple of question under the LAV filters question that I am not sure about.

Enable Sagetv Stream Demux ?

Always Swap for AC3 Filter ?

What breaks if I do or dont install those? -Bill

I think with the LAV filters that get installed now those optional items aren’t really needed. They’re both related to playback on the server itself and only for certain formats. Those are both registry entries you can change later if needed.

The installer has them defaulted to the correct values unless they were already set on your system. so best to leave them as is.

Any idea when that would be pulled in? I don't want to try it out before then since everything I have is done serial control

I don't know when the next release will be but if you want to upgrade you can install the latest then patch the DLL and sage.jar from this post and it will be equivalent. https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=20

I noticed that after fresh installing 64 bit to take the place of the 32 bit version that the tuner configuration no longer presents the merit value for alteration (this feature was added not too long ago).

It’s still there, it it is not enabled by default. You need to change one of the settings to see it.

Yeah, it was near the very bottom of the "custom" settings. Thanks.
