ExeMultiTuner? Is this a 32-bit program?

One Colossus and one OTA dual tuner which doesn't require IR.

If there's more than one Hauppauge IR-capable device/tuner installed, only one of them will actually drive the IR blaster. But there's no way to explicitly select which device is used. I can't find my notes; it's either the first or the last one that was installed.

Is Hauppauge's BlastCfg.exe able to send IR codes?

No that's a tuner stub program for SageTV, lets you run a script or command line program to change the channel.

Using that, you can set up a script to either dump the tuner and channel to a file and use EG Directory Watcher, or better yet use a script that sends the info to EG using wget or similar as an HTTP event.

I use the latter method to send the info via HTTP to EG where it can decode the channel and tuner, then blast the channel to the STB. I do it to a remote system but I have also used both methods locally and it works fine.

New windows build?

I've seen some changes happening on the SageTV github repo.
Is it possible for someone to do a new windows build and post it?
I was trying to get set up to build it myself, but computer failures, other projects, and real life keep getting in the way...

Thanks,
Jim

I’ll try to get the next build out there when I get some time in the coming days. I have the setup from before but need to spend the time to update, run the installer build and upload them.

Just installed and works great, especially via Firestick , mini-client, etc. thanks!
FYI - I find on my Win10 machine I have to uninstall Java first before running the Sage installer since Sage intalls Java on it's own. Not sure if others run into this or not....

Could someone explain what benefit this has:

Quote:
Fixed database clearing of non-manual Wasted objects that were over a year old (comment indicated it happened, but was never implemented before)
Does it help shrink the wiz.bin?

Yes, if you use intelligent recording. https://github.com/google/sagetv/com...a2b93e6dc56fa2

Weather configuration Instructions

I just upgraded to Sage 9.2.6. All went well (thanks to all who work to keep Sage going!), but it was not easy finding the instructions for configuring weather (using new openweathermap api). It would be super helpful if someone could add something to the notes section on the first post in this thread.

PS - here's where I ultimately found the instructions:

Could not write value AlwaysSwapForAC3Filter

Attempted to install SageTVClientSetupx86_9.2.6.exe on my Win7 Pro 64bit OS.

During the installation I received this error:

I checked the registry and found the Frey Technologies at:

You should be able to just select ignore on that error. If it causes some other issue then post and we can figure out how to make the registry location writable.

Currently running V9.2.2.929 (64-bit) on Win7. Is there an easy, painless way to upgrade to 9.2.6 without affecting the Sage Server (other than shutting it down for a bit to do the upgrade)?

Just run the installer...its painless...but I tend to copy the folder prior. Should just update.
