My Movies version 5

Gave upgrading a go, all went well except the sa password has been changed and sage mymovies cannot connect to the database. Can someone tell me what the sa password mymovies uses or where it is stored so that I can change either the database password or the mymovies configuration.

The new version upgrades the database to SQL 2008.

Glad to hear it seems to almost be working for you. Interested to find out the resolution to the password question. I wonder if it's related to the new "custom installer" upgrade to MyMovies; I read something direct database access bring included only with that license.

Saw that. Thought I'd post the link anyway just to see. Looks like I won't be upgrading.

So I rebuilt my server this summer and one of the last things to do was bring back MyMovies, but I don't have the install files for 4.02. Anyone have a link to them? I can only install My Movies 5.0 which apparently won't work for me.

I'm sure you can get v4 from somewhere. If not I'll set up an online share or something.

EDIT: Just checked the download page and v4 is still there.

Does Sage MyMovies require the same contribution points to launch movies in an external player as the main MyMovies app?

I can launch movies from Sage's Video menus but I can't launch the same movie from SMM menus. I am fairly sure the paths are correct (I've checked more than once and they look to be correct and the same on both the server and client).

Oh, and since I posted this in the wrong thread.... Has anyone gotten MyMovies 5 to work with SageTV yet? I am currently using 4.07.

Now that SageTV has a second life as open source, any renewed interest in getting MyMovies 5 compatibility working?

Sage MyMovies is the only think I really miss in SageTV. It's worth paying for.

MyMovies 5.20 build 4

I'm currently running Windows Media Center on Windows 7 with MyMovies 5.20 build 4.

SageTV looks like a promising replacement and if this mymovies client sees further development to be compatible with the latest version of MyMovies, I would b a willing beta tester.

Mymovies version 5 will not work as the login fails from the sage plugin to mymovies. I believe this is because the api functionality was removed in version 5 of mymovies.

I migrated from mymovies plugin to BMT, actually a much better interface escpecially with the fanart.
