channel scan can't find SBS since it moved

using hvr-2250's if that helps.
I'm all out of ideas at the moment - it's been so long since I have had any trouble!

Cheers,

Fraser

Fixed it!

I just had to open the PredefinedDVBT.frq and add one line (which is the SBS Melb freq from their website):

"Australia-Melbourne"
frq:177500000;band:7;
frq:184500000;band:7; <this is SBS Melbourne's Freq
frq:191625000;band:7;
frq:219500000;band:7;
frq:226500000;band:7;
frq:536500000;band:7;
frq:557500000;band:7;
{tune:1;pat:6;sdt:16;}

Ta,
Fraser

Hi Fraser,

I'm also having troubles with the new frequencies, do you mind posting your whole .frq file?
Thanks.

Most welcome

Good to see a "Local" using SageTV!
I'm yet to find a suitable alternative, you?

no, not really. Shame google bought them.

I'm using it primarily for playback, not much to record on free to air.

"Australia-Sydney"
frq:571500000;band:7;

It appears that 571.5 MHz is already in there, but I'm not seeing SBS on any of my tuners. Any tips?

If you have multiple tuners, try deleting one of them, then re-adding it as it's own lineup.
When I did mine I removed all the tuners, then physicaly re-started the machine, then went through and added the first tuner etc from scratch, then copied it's lineup to all the others.

Good luck!

Thanks for that - it's now all good; it turns out I'd picked up some out-of-date info from the SBS site. They're now on 184.5 MHz in Sydney (Gore Hill) too, so adding the line you suggested did the trick!

Thanks for posting it - I would have been screwed, otherwise.

I seem to have lost ABC as well, and I can hear the kids complaining in the background, but haven't yet started tinkering with the FRQ file.
So looks like I may have to get down and dirty this weekend.
Thanks for the heads up guys.

Ok, so further update, had to manually edit one of the disabled useless shopping channels with the ABC frequencies in the GUI but was unable to preview any content still.
So I ran a subsequent update scan and this time it picked up all the ABC channels ok.
After trying to tune in I noticed reception was around 10% on most of ABC but the EPG updated ok so it must just be poor reception which was affecting the scan.
We do have fluctuating ABC reception in the area at times.
So both SBS and ABC back online now, thank you.
