Usbuirt unresponsive

ok I dont know if it is Sagetv glitch or shaw is playing games with me. after midnight sunday morn my channels stopped changing to record designated channel settings. So when I checked a few shows were recorded to wrong station. My setup was unresponsive ( no signals sent through usbuirt ) & I could only change channels directly with remote. I reset sagetv service & now it seems to be working again. What is happening here? I never had to reset it before & it seems to be like clockwork that it happens sun am.

Did you check the usbuirt USB connection? Try a different port? I had this same problem and found the PC was was 'forgetting" the usbuirt was there. Check under Control panel> System> Hardware> Device mangers> Universal serial bus controllers (XP-PRO) and ensure that the usbuirt is listed. I solved the problem by replacing the motherboard, (there were other problems also). Bon Chance!

i need to reset the usbuirt for it to work. Any other solutions other than changing Mob? I am not really willing to do that since it would mean replacing a few other components as well since cpu etc not compatible with other parts. Feels like a conspiracy to me. all this grief to get & keep sage tv working properly. Is there a setting to alter so system will remember usb-uirt?

ok tried that & still no fix for the usb-uirt. My setup was working properly till a month ago when I added a 3rd stb to configuration. I dont get why my usb is now unresponsive unless I keep rebooting it. I think something else is going on. I refuse to replace a MOB as one comment suggested.
