USB-CEC Adapter to control TV/AVR over HDMI directly from computer
Has anyone else seen this?
XBMC Blog: The USB-CEC Adapter is a look into the Future Pulse-Eight: USB-CEC Adapter Yes, I know that Sage isn't on the supported programs list, but just think of the possibilities! A server or client could directly control the on/off state, inputs, presets, and volume settings on your TV and AVR without having to use IR blasters or high-end Harmony/URC type remotes. Could a plugin be written to add support for the libCEC library to Sage? Would it be more realistic to hope for one for EventGhost/Girder? It's a pipe dream either way, but I think it's an exciting little gadget.

I have this one that has an eventghost plugin and it works great. A bit interesting to set up, but the plugin dev is very active on the forum so problems get fixed quickly.
