Note: The STV updates are for updating the SageTV version 7.1 UI, not for installing an update for SageTV from a version prior to v7.1. To update the SageTV installation, see the Download links for SageTV for the latest version of SageTV. Do not manually install these STV updates over a previous version of SageTV.



The following downloadable STV update is available for v7.1.9:

New STV version: 7.1.9.3, file set 2011072702

1. Fixed YouTube videos by skipping the WebM version links.
2. Hidden: Fixed malore menu sort issue for movies group when sort style is season/episode.

You can either wait for the system message telling you the update is available or get it at Detailed Setup -> Advanced -> Check for STV Update.



The STV version will be listed in System Information as v7.1.9.3.

Fresh Re-install of my Sage Server fixed the problem must have been something in the properties files

There seems to be a problem just with the lowest resolution choice. Try using a higher YouTube video quality option.

Trying to download the latest STV update (STV v7.1.9.4, 2011080501) through Detailed Setup, I get the following error:

"unable to download the stv file set update version information"


I am currently running the 2011072702 STV.

Anyone else experiencing issues / see this problem before?

FYI, culprit appears to be an update to MS Security Essentials software a few days ago...uninstalling fixed...

Microsoft seems to be messing around with a lot of things lately. Weve had a few Win XP machine in the shop this week that even with a fresh install of XP SP3, Updates and Security Essentials won't install or even go to the site, stating you must have SP3 installed. Well, DUH, we just installed it. Turned out you HAVE TO setup automatic updates and let a new Patch Installer install that fixes the Windows Patch Installer for Windows and other MS products. Once that installs and reboots... viola...Win Updates and S.E work and install without any problem.
