New SageTV V6.6 and Firmwares Released

We've now released SageTV V6.6.1 (which was the 6.5.11+ beta series)

We've also released new firmware for the HD100 and HD200. Those can be udpated from the Firmware/System Update menus in the devices.

Here's the highlights for V6.6:

• Lots of bug fixes, performance & stability enhancements
• Closed Captioning support
• Support for a wide variety of Subtitle formats
• BDMV folder (BluRay) support on the HD200 for playback of the main movie with support for audio track selection, subtitles and chapters
• Overhauled channel setup & channel scanning for digital TV tuners
• System Message functionality for simplified system monitoring
• Placeshifter automatic logins

The v6.6.1 release notes have now been posted. Links to earlier release notes for the last beta period start here.

The v6.6.1 installer includes the v6.6-B PDF manual, which is also linked in my sig lines. As usual, chapter 8 of the PDF manual lists many of the added/changed features.

The release versions of the HD extender firmwares are:
STX-HD100 firmware version "20090611 1"

Updated 09-11-2009:
STP-HD200 firmware version "20090903 0"

We've now released V6.6.2. The only change over 6.6.1 was a regression fix that broke DVB since 6.5.20. DVB should now be functional as in V6.5.20.

The only versions updated were SageTV for Windows, SageTVClient for Windows, SageTV for WHS and the Linux server. The fix didn't affect the other builds.
