Birtles grabber, lmgestion importer and repeats in the UK

I use the birtles XMLTV tool with the UK_RT grabber and lmgestions excellent importer but have obvisouly set something up wrong.

Currently I seem to be recording every repeat.

"set watched" is a joke. With SageMC I mark everything with delete and set watched and yet still it records repeats.

The other day I recorded all six repeats of FM "blinded by the light" in the space of 2 days and I'd seen it already.

In the importer I use program identity based on episode title or description.

In sageTV I have "Detect repeat airings with non-unique ids" to No.

I felt when I had this set to yes Sage stopped recording premieres of some shows.

Has anybody in the UK got this sort of setup working well and how please.

Sounds like your categories are a problem. I assume (e.g.) FM is Category of "Comedy". In the importer, go into Categories and check that it's set up as "like series", maybe it'll do a better job then.
