Recorder with AVerTVHD MCE A180?

I have a AVerTVHD MCE A180 installed on my XP box and it works fine with the little "quick tv" application that comes with it - I get 6 or 7 HD chanels just dandy and all is well.

However, I purchased Sage Recorded, installed it and applied the key - when I bring it up it recognizes the A180 just fine however it never shows anything in the preview - I cannot change the chanel at all (it's set to "0"). I've set the source up correctly, listed chanels in the chanel configuration and gone through (the rather thin) guide - no luck.

Am I missing something obvious? Is this card not supported with Recorder?

thanks

Here is the page w/the SageTV Recorder System Requirements. Recorder has not been updated for all the latest cards that SageTV supports, incuding HD, and won't be. If your intention is to use it as a network encoder for SageTV, then the way to do that for newer cards is to use another installation of SageTV to act as the network encoder.

I don't make that policy, so you'll have to contact SageTV.

BTW: that 2nd installation of SageTV can act both as the network encoder & client.
