I am still using two helius extenders on smaller, older CRT tv's with no problems. The colors are fine and PQ is what you'd expect from a SD analog source. The redness I was having trouble with was with a 36" Toshiba CRT TV that went bad in Feb 2009 and has since been replaced with a 52" Samsung LCD (and HD300). If I recall correctly, my biggest challenges were with analog channel 5 (CBS here in Phx).

I am still using some older extenders and my wife is complaining about the red tint. I saw your comment

"I too have the reddish tint w/ the Helius extenders. Its strange; sometimes its very noticeable and other times I think I'm watching my non-Helius extender. I did find a post on another forum that discussed how to take the Helius extender apart and use a soldering iron to remove a capacitor or something (I don't anything about circuit boards) and allow for the color to be fixed. If you want it, I can find it and post the link to it here."

...and I was wondering if you still had the information to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Hello scoful - I moved to Phoenix in the mid 90s. I get back to Ks once a year or so to visit relatives in Wichita.

I rarely miss a Jayhawk basketball game on TV though. I still have the 08 NC recorded on my SageTV server!
