Full Clients don't have any dependency on the server with regards to Phoenix. So you can update only the client to the latest and test without impacting anything else.

Extenders of course require the Server to be running the latest if you want to see P2 there.

Just wanted to say that WAF has been excellent on P2! This is the first time I've been able to move off the stock UI.

There's a new plugin for the default UI that gives it more of the P2 feel - so on those occasions where P2 kicks you back to the default sage UI it is not a jarring

It's in UI Mod section, 'P2 Compatibility'. Install the mod, then select the theme (Detailed Setup -> Advanced)

FYI - v201 of P2 is available in the plugin repository. Just bug fixes for the most part:

P2 release v201 notes

1) 'Goto current time' enabled in EPG
2) Queuing Arrows added to horizontal navigation in LZ (can be enabled)
3) Don't allow playing of past airings
4) Refresh view after deleting a folder
5) Fixed select / enter handling when called from a music track.
6) Memories menu added to Landing Zone

btl.

Info Button in P2

Enjoying using the P2 but quick question on navigation. Is there any way to map the info button on the remote on HD300 to bring up detailed info on TV shows rather than system info? Also in the EPG is there any way to skip 24 hours as in the default UI? Many thanks..

Just switched from Gemstone. I don't really care about system info specs when watching a show. Detailed show information is nice to see.

Thanks for a nice interface!!!!

So when I try to go into options and define the home video folder, I'm having a bit of trouble doing it from the extender because there is no way to enter a / or a \ in the keyboard. any ideas?

I usually use the web interface to set it.

Or just edit the extender sage properties on the server directly.

Remember to stop the sagetv service before editing the properties file.
And the extender property files are in a subdirectory.

Could there be a p2 compatibility XML that looks like serenity skin? Also could there be a way for my like/don't like buttons to work again

Problems getting P2 to work correctly

I've been running the Gemstone UI, but decided to give P2 a try. I downloaded the Phoenix Full UI plugin and in the settings switched to use P2.

When Sage reloaded, I had a blue background, the name Phoenix 2 in one corner, and my empty space bar in the lower right. And that was it. I finally got some menus to open, but they looked really bad and the text would stay on the screen when I opened a new menu so it was unreadable. Luckily navigated to the reset UI choice (thanks for that!).

Any ideas on what I should try? I'm running SageTV as a service on a Windows Home Server v1 and watching using an HD200.

I had the same issue. A restart of the SageTV server process fixed the issue. I believe the documentation recommends this restart so that the new dynamic menus and vfs' can be loaded.

Is there a way to pad uPnP playback to account for commercials in tv shows? I feel like I need an extra 10 minutes of playback on all streaming tv.

Phoenix 2 Donwload

Hi there

I've looked everywhere for the Phoenix 2 download, especially the download sections on this webiste, and I can't seem to find it.

Can anyone provide a link. If not, can you provide a link for the latest version of the original Sage as it doesn't seem to be on Google Play anymore.

Many thanks.

I'm not at home to verify this, but I'm pretty sure P2 is a part of the original Phoenix UI plugin. So download the Phoenix Full UI and then when you switch UIs, P2 will be one of your options.

Seems I'm a late adopter -- been using V7 and Phoenix for a few years now and just tried out Phoenix2 over the holiday weekend. Love it!

Question:
Is there a way to re-color the Program Guide categories? I'd like to make them all darker so that the text would show up better. I've made them opaque, but I'd still like them darker.

Oh, and I agree with some others - it would be great if the info button pulled up show information rather than system information during playback.

Great work, glad I'm finally enjoying it!!

I am trying to create a Crafts submenu under the video menu that would point to a specific folder on my drive that has crafts videos. Can this be done with P2?
